The feature uses your existing network to find people that you most likely know. In a surprisingly simply manipulation of algorithims relating to your social network, the program simply finds those that have multiple friends in common with you.

While not exceedingly complex, it is exceptionally useful. Here is what I wish we could do though: carry that friend network with us to other platforms. Perhaps to a more grown up version thats a little less intrusive, but still allows me to stay in touch.
